The Magnolia Panthers won their baseball game 7-3 Thursday at Taylor. The Panthers improved to 14 and 3 for the season. They return to conference action at 4:30 Friday, at home against De Queen. Brief Tornado Touchdown Monday in Columbia County

The National Weather Service confirms that there was a brief tornado Monday afternoon in Columbia County. The Weather Service issued a preliminary report, and they say the EF-0 tornado had estimated peak wind of 74 miles per hour. Its path was 1.2 miles long and 25 yards wide. Dunn Pleads Guilty; Gets 30 Years

There was a surprise ending to Thursday’s Circuit Court proceedings. 22 year old Byron Lavell Dunn entered into a plea agreement with the state. Dunn’s charges stemmed from a shooting in August 2014 in the VFW building. Two men were killed in that shooting; Dunn was charged in the death of SAU football player Brandon Hobdy. Dunn was

A Magnolia man has been arrested in Miller County for a local car theft. Magnolia Police say that a local business owner reported a vehicle stolen from his property on March 21st. Officers said they were able to identify the driver as 45 year old Dexter Harper. Harper was taken into custody by Miller County authorities on April 1st. He is
