Brief Tornado Touchdown Monday in Columbia County

The National Weather Service confirms that there was a brief tornado Monday afternoon in Columbia County. The Weather Service issued a preliminary report, and they say the EF-0 tornado had estimated peak wind of 74 miles per hour. Its path was 1.2 miles long and 25 yards wide. Dunn Pleads Guilty; Gets 30 Years

There was a surprise ending to Thursday’s Circuit Court proceedings. 22 year old Byron Lavell Dunn entered into a plea agreement with the state. A Magnolia man has been arrested in Miller County for a local car theft. Magnolia Police say that a local business owner reported a vehicle stolen from his property on March 21st. The Area 15 Special Olympics are this Saturday, April 9th, at Magnolia High School’s Panther Stadium.  The parade of athletes begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by opening ceremonies.
