Hall is GAC Baseball Player of the Week

SAU’s Blake Hall is the Great American Conference Baseball Player of the week. In the Muleriders’ four games over the past week, the Magnolia native went 10-for-18 at the plate with nine runs scored. Hall also tallied five extra-base hits – four doubles and a triple – and drove in four runs from the leadoff spot in the lineup.

Dow is GAC Softball Player of the Week

SAU’s Maddie Dow has earned her second Great American Conference Softball Player-of-the-Week Award of the season. In their series win against Southern Nazarene, Dow had 6 hits, including 3 home runs. She also had 10 RBIs, walked 3 times and was hit-by-pitch twice. Dow has 65 career home runs; she is the active career leader in NCAA Division

Police Arrests

On March 1 Gwin McLeod, 52 of Magnolia, was arrested and charged with theft of property over $1,000 and breaking or entering. McLeod was arrested based on a warrant that was issued in 2015 for his alleged involvement in the theft of a vehicle. McLeod was arrested in Texas shortly after the incident occurred in 2015, and he was held there on

The SAU baseball team wrapped up a Great American Conference series sweep Monday at Southern Nazarene University. After 16-6 and 8-0 wins Sunday, SAU concluded the series with a 12-5 win Monday.
