SAU’s Justice Reliford has been named the Great American Conference Women’s Field Athlete of the Week. Reliford set a school record in the long jump with a winning mark of 19’4” at the Marc Randle Classic. She earned NCAA provisional status in the process. Magnolia High School’s Trey Davis has been named All-State in Class 5A basketball. The Arkansas Activities Association released the All-State selections Wednesday. SAU’s Maddie Dow has earned her second Great American Conference Softball Player-of-the-Week Award of the season. In their series win against Southern Nazarene, Dow had 6 hits, including 3 home runs. Columbia County producers will have the opportunity to dispose of their outdated and unused pesticides during a collection event on Friday, March 24. The event will take place at the C.W. SAU’s Blake Hall is the Great American Conference Baseball Player of the week. In the Muleriders’ four games over the past week, the Magnolia native went 10-for-18 at the plate with nine runs scored. Hall also tallied five extra-base hits – four doubles and a triple – and drove in four runs from the leadoff spot in the lineup.
