Magnolia City Parks Closed TFN

We received the following information late Wednesday afternoon from the city of Magnolia.

“Due to the continual disregard of the serious threat COVID-19 could be to our community, we have unfortunately been forced to close all city parks until further notice.

There have been many large gatherings and reported physical altercations in the parks in the past few days. The city is going to do everything it can to limit the ability of citizens to gather in large groups but each citizen must do his/her part and take individual responsibility.

Social distancing is one of the 15 ways to slow the spread of COVID-19. The President, Governor, County Judge and Mayor have all pleaded with the public to practice social distancing. Please refer to all recommendations of the CDC and do your part to slow the spread.”
