The Magnolia Panthers beat Mena 63-46 Wednesday night in the first round of the 4A South Basketball Regional Tournament in Mena. Darrien Ford led Magnolia with 23 points. Kadyn Roach and Coby Garland added 12 and 11 points respectively. Magnolia improved to 19 and 4 for the season. The win secured a berth for the Panthers in the 4A State Tournament next week in Magnolia. The Panthers will face either Bauxite or Monticello in the Regional semi-final at 8:30 p.m. Friday; Bauxite and Monticello play Thursday night.
