Magnolia Police reports that a Rosston man has died following a traffic stop. The Magnolia PD reports that, on Thursday morning, October 4th, a traffic stop was made on Smith Street for traffic violations. The driver was identified as 36-year-old Cornelius D. Young of Rosston, Arkansas.

According to a press release from Magnolia PD, “during the stop, Young began to show signs of physical distress. Officers called for EMS to assist Young. Young was transported by Columbia County Ambulance Service to Magnolia Regional Medical Center. Young passed away at Magnolia Regional Medical Center. Because the medical condition was observed during the traffic stop, and the cause of his condition is not known, Magnolia Police Chief Todd Dew requested the Arkansas State Police to investigate.

State Police investigators have begun that investigation, and Young’s body is being sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab as part of the investigation.”
