Mass Flu Vaccine Clinic Thursday at Col. Co. Health Unit

flu0005

A drive-through Mass Flu Vaccine Clinic takes place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Columbia County Health Unit. People receiving the vaccine should bring their insurance cards. If you do not have insurance, or if your insurance does not cover flu shots, the vaccine will be available at no charge.

The ADH (Arkansas Department of Health) says annual flu vaccination is recommended for most adults and children six months and older. The flue virus changes from year to year, and this year’s vaccine protects against the flu viruses that are expected to cause the most illness this flu season.

If you are unable to attend the drive-through Mass Flu Vaccine Clinic, the vaccine is available any time during regular business hours at the Columbia County Health Unit.
