Schedule Changes for SAU Baseball & Softball

Potential rain in the region on Friday has forced schedule changes to the weekend series’ for both SAU Baseball and SAU Softball.

The Mulerider Baseball team will travel to Searcy for a three-game series with Harding. Originally scheduled for Friday-Saturday, the Great American Conference opponents will now play a single game on Saturday, April 14 at 5 p.m. and a doubleheader on Sunday, April 15, beginning at 1:30 p.m. All three games will be broadcast live on Magnolia’s Country 99.1, online at MagnoliaRadio.com, and on the Magnolia Radio app.

The Lady Mulerider Softball team is set to host Harding in a four-game league series. The two teams were originally scheduled for doubleheaders on both Friday and Saturday, but the series has been pushed back to Saturday and Sunday. Saturday’s doubleheader will start at 4 p.m. Sunday’s doubleheader will begin at 1 p.m. and will serve as both “Senior Day” and the fan-favorite “Bark at the Park” day.

All fans will get into the doubleheader with free admission as part of the Community Day portion of the event, but fans that wish to bring pets will be charged $10 admission per pet as part of the Bark at the Park promotion.All money collected through the charged admission that day will be donated to the H&P Animal Alliance with the proceeds benefitting their SNIP program (Spay and Neuter).Fans that do bring their pets must keep them on a leash at all times.

Additionally, fans who do not bring a pet may still donate to the cause either by bringing animal goods (food, leashes, collars, toys, etc.) or making a cash donation. Furthermore, each time the Lady Muleriders score a run in both games of the doubleheader, a bucket will be passed around the stands for loose change.
