Magnolia High School’s Trey Davis has been named All-State in Class 5A basketball. The Arkansas Activities Association released the All-State selections Wednesday. Davis averaged about 14 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals per game. He handled the ball against pressure. Coach Dyun Long said Davis was the key to Magnolia’s defense, being long and slowing the ball down; Long said that helped everyone behind him. Davis and Greg Martin were also All-Conference, and Martin was named to the All-State Tournament Team.
The Magnolia High School baseball and softball teams play at home today against Hot Springs Lakeside. The Panthers start at 4:30, and the Lady Panthers play at 5:00. The Panthers will be broadcast live on Classic Hits KVMA, at 630 AM and 107.1 FM. The broadcast begins at 4:10.
