Rex Jones to be new CEO at MRMC

The Magnolia Regional Medical Center Board of Commissioners has announced the appointment of Rex Jones as Chief Executive Officer. He will take over in December. Mr. Jones has more than 25 years of experience in the health care industry, including more than 16 years in CEO positions in rural hospital settings. Jones will succeed Margaret West as CEO. West is retiring in December after 30 years of service at MRMC.

Rex Jones currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Bradley County Medical Center in Warren. Prior to that, he was CEO of Okmulgee Memorial Hospital in Oklahoma.

Jones grew up in Umpire, Arkansas and is a graduate of Henderson State University and University of Phoenix. He served in the US Army, achieving the rank of Sergeant, and went on to become a Lieutenant. He is a Desert Storm Vet. Jones and his fiancé will relocate to Magnolia prior to December.
