Amfuel’s Magnolia Plant Closing

Amfuel has announced plans to close its plant in Magnolia. Britt Gourley is the company’s chairman and interim president and CEO; he informed local union representatives of the planned closing in a memo. Gourley confirmed those plans to multiple news and business representatives Tuesday. Word is that the Magnolia operations will be moved to the plant in Wichita Falls, Texas. Amfuel employs around 300 people in Magnolia. Gourley said that some employees have been offered jobs in Wichita Falls. No word has been released yet on exactly when the plant will close.
