Panthers Fall to ElDo; SAU Goes to Harding

The Magnolia Panthers hung with the El Dorado Wildcats for three quarters Friday night in Magnolia, but El Dorado came away with a 31 to 10 win. The Panthers took the early lead on a 27-yard field goal by Cruz Guzman. El Dorado tied the game a few minutes later, and it remained tied for most of the remainder of the half. But a Magnolia fumble was returned 63 yards by Johnathan Hall, and the Wildcats led 10 to 3 at the half. Magnolia tied the game on their first drive of the second half; Parker Ribble scored on a one-yard run, and Guzman’s kick made it 10-10. El Dorado though scored the final three touchdowns of the game and they won 31 to 10. El Dorado is 2 and 1 for the season. Magnolia is 1 and 2. The Panthers begin conference play next Friday in Magnolia against White Hall.

The SAU football team travels to Searcy Saturday for a game at Harding University. Both teams are undefeated in their first two games.
