Football Muleriders Beat Rangers

Nearly 6,000 people packed Wilkins Stadium Saturday as the SAU football team beat Northwestern Oklahoma State 33-14. Nearly half of the Mulerider’s points came from the toe of Bradford Grems. Grems kicked 4 field goals and he added 3 extra points. SAU’s touchdowns came on a 13-yard pass from Barrett Renner to Kaylen Burks, an 87-yard pass play from Renner to Karonce Higgins, and a 29-yard touchdown pass from Will Haines to Tanner Hudson. The Muleriders’ first score was set up by a Davondrick Lison sack and forced fumble. Elgin Moore led the defense with 10 tackles. The Muleriders are now 2 and 0 for the season. They travel to Searcy to face Harding Saturday.
