The SAU baseball and softball teams won their weekend conference series with East Central University.
The Lady Muleriders swept their 4-game series in Magnolia. They ended their regular season with a school record 41 wins. They’ll play East Central again in the first round of the Great American Conference Tournament at noon Thursday in Bentonville.
The Muleriders scored 30 runs in a doubleheader sweep Saturday in Ada, Oklahoma. But East Central won Sunday’s game 7-4. The Muleriders have a non-conference game against Henderson State at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Magnolia. Then they close out the regular season with a conference series Friday and Saturday in Monticello.
