The Weather Service issued a preliminary report, and they say the EF-0 tornado had estimated peak wind of 74 miles per hour. Its path was 1.2 miles long and 25 yards wide. The tornado touched down at 1:26 p.m. near the intersection of US Highway 82 and County Road 294, 8.5 miles east southeast of Magnolia. It ended about 2 minutes later along County Road 34, 9.7 miles east southeast of Magnolia. There were no injuries, just mainly tree and limb damage.
