Regular LIHEAP Ends March 30th

CADC will stop accepting applications for the regular Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) on March 30th. But applications for the Crisis LIHEAP intervention program will continue through April 15th or until funds are depleted, whichever comes first. To qualify for Crisis LIHEAP, persons must have a disconnect notice with a disconnect date within 7 days of application date. All households receiving food stamps are potentially eligible to receive this assistance; however, the program is not limited to food stamp recipients. The program assists households with home energy and heating bills. Eligible households must meet income guidelines and furnish proof of all household income for the month prior to applying. In Columbia County, applications are accepted Monday thru Wednesday at the CADC Magnolia Office, 1503 North Vine, from 8 am until Noon. You may call 234-6444.
