September 7 Tuesday GRAND OPENING OF REPUBLICAN HEADQUARTERS- on 621 E. North in Magnolia. Come meet and greet the candidates from 5:30-7:30pm. There will be free hotdogs and cokes.

September 11 Saturday The Health Coalition of Columbia County is sponsoring "The Biggest Winner Challenge." The biggest winner challenge will consist of teams of 4-6 members competing over a 12 week period. Two $500 prizes will be awarded.The inital assesment/weigh in at the LifeSmart Center and concludes with the final weigh in on Tuesday, December 7th. September 11 Saturday HAYNESVILLE CELEBRATION OF BUTTERFLIES- festivities begin at 9:00am with a parade and continue through Saturday afternoon. There are many things to entertain children and parents and many activities and entertainment provided.

September 12 Sunday UNDIE SUNDAY- a day the congregation is asked to bring a pack of new underwear or socks for a school age child.This is asked by the Magnolia Junior Charity League who will collect the packages for donation to needy children as the need arises. September 14 Tuesday COLUMBIA COUNTY QUORUM COURT- will now meet Tuesday September 14th instead of Monday, September 13th. Again, it was changed from the 13th and will now meet on the 14th of September.
September 14 Tuesday CPR/FIRST AID TRAINING CLASS- conducted by the South Arkansas Chapter of the Americal Red Cross from 9:00am-4:00pm at the Chapter office and training center on 2710 N. September 17-18 Friday and Saturday VILLAGE DEER DOG FESTIVAL- begining Friday with a fish supper from 5-7pm at $10 a plate for adults and $5 for children under 12. Saturday it resumes with a breakfast from 6-8am for $6. Lunch begins at 11am for $8 with chicken/dressing being served. Crafters are welcome all day. The dog auction will take place at 1pm.
September 17 & 19 Friday and Sunday YOUTH REVIVAL- at the Pentecostals of Magnolia at 7:30pm Friday, and 10am and 6pm Sunday. The speaker will be Brother Jason Roberts. Volleyball and basketball will follow in the gym afterwards. Concessions will be open.
October 9 Saturday SIDNEY SANDERS MCMATH DINNER- and SAU Scholarship Fundraiser hosted by the Columbia County Democrats. It will be at the Donald W.
