The SAU baseball team is hosting the NCAA Central Region Tournament at Walker Stadium at Goodheart Field. After falling 8-6 Thursday to Emporia State, the Muleriders defeated Pittsburg State 5-1 Friday in an elimination game. Jacob Stroder, the winning pitcher, allowed only one run through 8 innings of work. Cortland McPherson homered and 4 other Muleriders had 2 hits apiece. The Muleriders play again at 3 p.m. Saturday.
