Skeletal Remains Found in Columbia County

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office has issued a press release concerning skeletal remains found this (Tuesday) morning. A call came into Central Dispatch around 9:00 a.m.  The skeletal remains were found in a wooded area off Columbia Road 68, commonly known as Cowboy Road. The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office responded with the assistance of Magnolia Police Department. The Sheriff’s Office says that items found at the scene indicate that the skeletal remains may belong to Rodney Cherry.  Cherry went missing in November 2017.  DNA analysis is required to verify the identity of the remains.
