Two SAU football players have been named All-Americans by the American Football Coaches Association. Tight end Tanner Hudson and defensive lineman Davondrick Lison were both named to the second team. In his senior season of 2017, Hudson led the team and ranked sixth in the GAC in receiving yards with 624. He was also second on the team and led tight ends in the GAC in receptions and receiving touchdowns with 43 catches and six scores. In his junior season, Lison tied for the lead in the GAC in sacks (7.5) and tackles for lost yardage (16.5). Playing in all 11 games, Lison also totaled 53 tackles on the season.
