The Magnolia Panthers were 14-4 winners over Camden Fairview Tuesday at the Panther Baseball Field. Magnolia won by the mercy rule in 5 innings. Magnolia’s Dayton Dickson had 3 hits and 5 RBIs. Jay French and Parker Ribble had 2 hits apiece. Matt Goodheart was the winning pitcher and Adam Pieratt picked up the save. The Panthers improved to 5 and 0 in conference action, 11 and 1 overall. They play at home Thursday against El Dorado and Friday against Taylor. Neither game will be broadcast.
The Lady Panther softball team beat Camden Fairview 6-1 Tuesday in Magnolia. Grace Basinger was the winning pitcher; she pitched the complete game and allowed only four hits. Basinger, Brittany Yates, Bailey Ladner and and Jacii Powell had two hits apiece. Ladner had 3 RBIs. The next game for the Lady Panthers is next Tuesday, at home, against Hot Springs.
