The Department of Health has released the “Boil Water” Notice issued on March 16, 2017 by Mayor Patricia Glover for the entire system. This order was issued as a precautionary measure because of the possibility that contaminated water may have entered the distribution system as a result of complete loss in normal system pressure.
Bacteriological samples taken on Monday, March 20, 2017 were found to be “Safe” and a satisfactory disinfectant level has been established throughout the distribution system. The water is therefore considered “Safe” for human consumption and the “Boil Water” notice is hereby lifted.
