Scams

The sheriff’s office reminds citizens to be aware of scams during the holiday season. Sheriff Mike Loe said that three white males and one black male have been seen driving three white dump trucks and stopping at residences, asking if occupants need gravel or would like purchase the gravel in the trucks. Once they unload the gravel, they will give the price of gravel, ranging from $700-1,200. This is a possible scam, according to the sheriff. The sheriff said there are other scammers claiming to be with Publisher’s Clearing House, and others wanting to work on your computer. The sheriff says you should always be cautious about individuals calling and stopping by their house.
