Much of Lake Columbia Park to Close After 10 p.m.

The Columbia County Rural Development Authority voted Monday to close the picnic area and swimming area at Lake Columbia after 10 p.m. That area of the park will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. as soon as signs can be posted. The Magnolia Police Department reports the arrest September 20th of 30 year old Roshunda Lewis of Magnolia. Nationwide EAS Test Scheduled Wednesday

The second-ever nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System will be Wednesday, September 28th at 1:20 p.m. (Magnolia time.) It will only be a test. The nationwide test will be conducted by FEMA. If all goes as planned, the test message will be transmitted on all radio and TV stations and cable systems. Again, the test is scheduled for 1:20
